PLOT : Wallace, a medical-school dropout nursing the scars of all of his previous failed relationships, has decided to put his romantic pursuits on pause, while those around him, like his roommate Allan, seem to be moving on. Living in vibrant Toronto, Wallace’s world unexpectedly changes when he meets Chantry, a quick-witted animator in a long-term relationship. They form an instant connection and quickly develop a close friendship full of warmth and humour. But as their bond deepens, undeniable chemistry sparks between them, forcing both to confront a complicated question: can the best friend you’ve always counted on also be the love of your life?
Micheal Dowse. is a Canadian film director and producer who began his career as a film editor. He made his feature debut with FUBAR (2002), a low-budget mockumentary shot on a digital camera that earned a spot at the Sundance Film Festival. Building on that success, Dowse directed the UK-based It’s All Gone Pete Tong (2004), a cult hit about a deaf DJ in Ibiza. In 2013, Dowse directed What If, a charming romantic comedy starring Daniel Radcliffe, Adam Driver, and Mackenzie Davis, which asks the age-old question: can best friends turn into something more? Most recently, Dowse directed episodes of The Sticky (2024), a comedy-crime series.
