PLOT : The Peanut Butter Falcon is a story of adventure and friendship, set in the world of a modern Mark Twain. Zak, a young man with Down syndrome, runs away from the care home where he lives to chase his dream of becoming a professional wrestler. Through circumstances beyond their control, Tyler, a small-time outlaw on the run, becomes Zak's unlikely coach and ally. Together they wind through deltas, elude capture, drink whisky, find God, catch fish, and convince the kind nursing home employee charged with bringing Zak home, to join them on their wild journey.

Tyler Nilson, Michael Schwartz. Tyler Nilson is an American filmmaker from North Carolina. In addition to being an award-winning director, he has written, produced and acted in several short and feature-length films. Michael Schwartz is a documentary filmmaker who teamed up with Nilson in 2014 to co-write and co-direct The Moped Diaries. In 2019, the pair collaborated again on The Peanut Butter Falcon, which has won countless Film Critics and Festival awards, including SXSW (South by Southwest Film Festival).
