PLOT : In a small industrial town, renowned conductor Thibaut is diagnosed with leukemia and urgently needs a bone marrow transplant. His search for a donor leads to a shocking revelation - he was adopted, and his biological brother is a factory worker who plays in the local marching band. As the two men navigate their newfound connection, they confront the challenges of their pasts and the hardships they’ve endured. Thibaut decides to help the marching band prepare for and win an upcoming regional contest. Through it all, their shared love of music becomes a powerful force, guiding them toward healing, understanding, and brotherly love.
Emmanuel Courcol. is a French actor, screenwriter, and director celebrated for his thoughtful storytelling and nuanced approach to character-driven narratives. Before stepping behind the camera, Courcol built a solid career as an actor, appearing in films such as Je vais bien, ne t'en fais pas (2006), Toutes Nos Envies (2011), and Au Nom de la Terre (2019). He gained recognition for writing and directing Ceasefire (2016), a post-WWI drama that marked his directorial debut, followed by the critically acclaimed The Big Hit (2020), a heartwarming comedy inspired by true events. Most recently, Courcol wrote and directed The Marching Band (2024), further solidifying his talent for blending emotion, humour, and social themes.
