PLOT : Set in 1960s Basilicata, the Rondinone family navigates the challenges of rural life on their expansive Matera farm. Eleven-year-old Pinuccio dreams of owning a television, a luxury reserved for the elite in 1963. As television slowly infiltrates society, Pinuccio ingeniously transforms his imagination into a makeshift screen, becoming the family's entertainment hub.
Uncle Vincenzo, a charismatic and modern figure, is diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, casting a shadow over the family's unity. Amidst tensions over the impending sale of the farm to a local
entrepreneur, Vincenzo's resilience shines through as he bravely confronts his illness alongside Imma, his steadfast partner.
As familial rifts deepen, Vincenzo proposes a daring plan to reunite the family, offering a glimmer of hope amidst uncertainty.
Riccardo Donna. Riccardo Donna is a writer and director from Turin, Italy. Donna’s directing career began when he collaborated with Rai for “Parola Mia,” and then turned to directing rock concerts and television shows, such as the prestigious Eurovision Song Contest of 1991.In 1998, Donna began directing films and television dramas. He has directed acclaimed shows and films such as Un Medico in Famiglia (1998-2000), C’era Una Volta Studio 1 (2017), and Quest Piccolo Grande Amore (2009). Most recently, Donna directed the film La Luce Nella Masseria (2024) with Tiziana Aristarco. Tiziana Aristarco, born in Milano, Italy, is a series, film, and documentary director. Aristarco began her directing career at Rai as an assistant director, where she was involved in the writing process for the film The Girl from Via Millelire (1980). Along with films, Tiziana has also ventured into directing television series, some of which include Compagni Di Scuola (2001), Provaci Ancora Prof! (2012-2013), and Mina Settembre (2021-2022). Most recently, Aristarco directed La Luca Nella Masseria (2024) with Riccardo Donna.
