PLOT : In 1792, Louis XVI, Marie Antoinette, and their children were arrested and imprisoned in the Tour de Temple, a grim fortress in Paris, awaiting trial. Far from the grandeur of Versailles, they are isolated and vulnerable for the first time in their lives. Surrounded by violence, constant harassment, and growing public disdain, the royal family faces the unravelling of both their identities and the old regime. Le Déluge unveils the little-known months leading to their tragic fate, revealing the collapse of absolute monarchy. The film exposes two of history's most iconic figures—not only to the public but to themselves and humanity. It is a powerful exploration of power, downfall, and the birth of the modern world, where the royal family’s personal and political masks are stripped away, leaving them utterly exposed.
