PLOT : Set in Little Lorraine, a tiny North Atlantic seaside town of just 60 residents, the film unfolds in the aftermath of the 1986 Cape Breton mining disaster. Struggling to support his family after losing his job, Jimmy joins his great uncle’s fishing operation, only to find himself drawn into a dangerous world of high-stakes crime and escalating risks. The film explores loyalty, survival, and the consequences of desperate choices in a close-knit community. The story draws inspiration from singer-songwriter Adam Baldwin’s 2022 song “Lighthouse in Little Lorraine.

Andy Hines. Canadian filmmaker from Nova Scotia. After graduating from the American Film Institute in 2009, he began his career directing music videos for artists including Alicia Keys, Coldplay, J Balvin, Lizzo, Logic, and Big Sean, earning MTV, Grammy, and Juno recognition for his standout work. His short, The Opening (2009) led to admittance to Werner Herzog’s Rogue Film School and an American Cinematographers’ Society nomination. Transitioning into features, Hines made his debut with Little Lorraine (2025).
