PLOT : Diamant follows a director who brings together his favourite actresses—women he has worked with and admired—to create a film about women. He doesn’t share much about his vision, choosing instead to observe and let inspiration guide him. The actresses are transported into another era, where the rhythmic hum of sewing machines fills the air of a prestigious tailoring house, a world managed and inhabited almost entirely by women. Here, storytelling takes on a
new perspective rooted in costume and tradition. As they step into their roles, the actresses’ lives start to blur with those of their characters, merging past and present, personal ambitions, and the untold histories of the women they portray. In this world of fabric and film, the director watches as art and life become inseparable, crafting a narrative that is as much about the power of storytelling as it is about the women who define the story.
