PLOT : During the global turmoil of the 1940s, deciphering enemy communication codes quickly and precisely became critical. Sicheng Chen. (陈思诚) is a distinguished Chinese actor, director, and screenwriter known for his versatile contributions to contemporary cinema. A Central Academy of Drama graduate, Chen began his acting career in the early 2000s, with notable performances in films such as Spring Fever (2009) and Tai Chi Zero (2012). Chen gained acclaim as a director with the 2012 television series Beijing Love Story, which he also co-wrote and starred in. He is best known for creating and directing the Detective Chinatown film franchise, one of China’s most successful comedy-mystery series. In 2024, Chen directed Decoded (Jie Mi), his first literary adaptation, presented in IMAX format, highlighting his focus on delivering a premium visual experience.
