PLOT : In 1994, the kidnapping of a powerful tycoon sent shockwaves through Hong Kong, threatening the city’s fragile financial confidence during a period of political uncertainty. As pressure mounts from business elites, law enforcement, and hidden political interests, the investigation becomes entangled in corruption, ambition, and personal agendas. While senior officers pursue influence and self-interest, OCID Superintendent Li Wenbin risks his career and safety to uncover the truth behind the case. Moving through a maze of conflicting loyalties and dangerous secrets, Li must decide how far he is willing to go to protect justice in a city where power often dictates the outcome.

Lok Man Leung. Hong Kong filmmaker, writer, and art director. After working as a set designer and assistant art director until 2010, he made his directorial debut with Cold War (2012), a hit action-thriller about rival Hong Kong police officials caught in a dangerous power struggle. The film earned Leung Best Director and Best Screenplay honours at the Hong Kong Film Awards. Following the success of the film, he later wrote and directed Cold War II (2016), followed by his first solo feature, Anita (2021), a biographical drama on Anita Mui. Most recently, he directed Cold War 1994 (2026).
