PLOT : Inspired by true events, “A Thousand Lines”, follows the 2018 fake news story of former Der Spiegel journalist, Claas Relotius. Star reporter Lars Bogenius is a respected journalist with stories that captivate readers and critics, even winning him the industry's top awards. Things quickly turn into one of Germany’s biggest media scandals when freelance journalist Juan Romero uncovers Bogenius false reporting, research and inconsistencies.

Michael Herbig. is a German director, writer, comedian and producer who was born on April 29, 1968, in Munich. In 1992, Herbig's career began with radio appearances on various television shows including Langeman und die Morgencrew and Die Bayern Cops. He was a part of Bully Parade (1997) as a producer, author, actor and director, which aired for five seasons. In 2000, he made his feature film directorial debut with his comedy, Erkan & Stefan. In the same year, Herbig launched “herbX”, a film production company and produced projects including Der Schuh des Manitu (2001) and (T)Raumschiff Surprise- Period 1 (2004).
