PLOT : In this work re-commissioned by the Istituto Italiano di Cultura Toronto, renowned film director Atom Egoyan presents his vision of Federico Fellini’s masterpiece “81/2”. Drawn from Egoyan’s installation presented in Cinema 4 for the 2010 opening of the TIFF Bell Lightbox, the short captures sequences of the original film in the context of the installation, proving once again the eternal contemporaneity of the Maestro’s films for generations of Maestri that would follow.
Mario Vitale. is an Italian director, screenwriter, and producer, who has worked on several award-winning short films; among them, he directed, Il tuffo(2014), Ilmiracolo(2015), and Al giorno d'oggi il lavoro te lo devi inventare(2016). In 2021, he debuted in the theatres' director and screenwriter of L’afide e la formica.
