In 1942, Gilles, a Belgian Jew, avoids death in a German concentration camp by claiming Persian heritage. Tasked by Koch, the camp's food officer, to teach him Persian for a future restaurant in Persia, Gilles fabricates a language under threat of exposure. Amidst a fragile friendship fraught with envy and suspicion, Gilles navigates the perilous deception, acutely aware that a single misstep could unveil his true identity.
