The great, great, grandson of a movie projectionist who was killed by a stack of film reels falling on him, Joshua David Pivato is an Italian-Canadian writer and director who has cinema in his blood. He studied Theater Arts and Film Studies at the Toronto Metropolitan University. At the age of 14, his short film “Murk” won Best Drama at the York Region Film Festival. Later, he produced and released his independent short fiction film “SCUZZY WILDLINGS” in 2017.
Joshua’s vision took a turn, being deeply impacted the suicide of a dear friend. This ignited a profound fire in him and has led him to use his art to share hope.
