Roberto Andò

Roberto Andò is a director, screenwriter, playwright and author born in Palermo, Italy (1959). He debuted as an Assistant Director, working alongside prolific filmmakers Frances Ford Coppola and Federico Fellini. His career spans the stage and film and his debut novel Il trono vuoto was published in 2012. The novel was then adapted for film in 2013; Viva la Libertàwent on to win the David di Donatello Award for Best Script and the Nastro d’Argento for Best Screenplay. Il bambino nascosto has been nominated for two separate awards at the Chicago International Film Festival and the Venice Film Festival.
