
Maggie Peren
Maggie Peren was born in Stuttgart, Germany and studied German and English Literature at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. In 2004 she received a German Film Prize award for her film Napola - Elite für den Führer. Vergiss Amerika won 1st prize at the Munich Film Festival for Best Screenplay and 2nd prize at the Studio Hamburg Film Awards. She also won the Grimme Prize for her screenplay for the film RAF Phantom (2000). Her first feature film was Change of Position (2007). Her 2010 film Colour of the Ocean premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and won her Best New Director at the Munich Film Festival.
