Antonio Pisu est né à Carrara en Toscane. Sa carrière initie en tant qu’acteur lorsqu’il suit un cours dans le domaine des Techniques cinématographiques à Officina Film. Après sa participation dans nombreux films tels que Hotel Meina (2007) et La Figlia di Elisa (2007), Pisu a créé et joué un rôle de premier plan dans la série télévisée nommée Low Budget. Il a ensuite cofondé l’association culturelle Novre, où il a produit, écrit et joué dans des émissions variées. En 2016, Pisu avec le soutien de son frère, a fondé la société de production, Genoma Films, qui lui a permis de réalisé son premier film Nobili Bugie. Suite au succès étonnant de ce long métrage qui lui obtient le prix Kineo lors de la 74eme Mostra de Venise, festival du film de grande renommée, il continue sa carrière en tant que réalisateur et scénariste avec son deuxième long métrage Est.

Born in Carrara, Tuscany, Italy, Antonio Pisu began as an actor and attended a course in cinematographic techniques at Officina Film. After participating in multiple works such as Hotel Meina (2007) and La Figlia di Elisa (2007), Pisu went on to create and star in the television series Low Budget. He then co-founded the cultural association Novre, where he produced several shows written and interpreted by him. In 2016, with the help of his brother, Pisu founded the production company, Genoma Films whereby he was able to release his first film Nobili Bugie. Following the astounding success of his first feature film, which won him an award at the renowned Venice International Film Festival, he moved on to direct Est, his second directorial feature work for which he is also the screenwriter.
