PLOT : Zoe, a young girl, has been around horses all her life and leads a happy life at her parents’ racehorse stables. Zoe has always dreamed of following in her father’s footsteps and someday becoming a jockey. The girl has formed a special relationship with one horse, Beautiful Intrigue, the stable’s prize mare who has been with her all her life. Beautiful Intrigue births a foal that Zoe names Tempest, with whom she begins to be able to see a future of racing. However, all of Zoe’s hopes of becoming a jockey and being able to race Tempest threaten to crumble when an accident occurs
Christian Duguay. Christian Duguay, born in Montreal, started his career working on television networks as an editor and director of photography. Duguay has also worked as a director of photography, second-unit action director, and director (Million Dollar Babies [1996]). Duguay is a worldwide acclaimed director in both television (Joan of Arc [1999]) and film (The Assignment [1997]), the former of which was nominated for 12 Emmy Awards and four Golden Globes.
Most recently, Duguay directed the 2021 film Ride Above, which tells the story of a young girl whose lifelong dreams of becoming a jockey are threatened when a horrifying incident occurs.
