PLOT : Three women, Smita, Giulia, and Sarah, are from different parts of the world and have never met, but they are bound by something intimate and unique. Smita is from India and dreams of seeing her daughter escape her miserable condition and enter school. Italy. Giulia is from Italy and works in her father's workshop, but when he suffers an accident, she discovers that the family business is ruined. Sarah is from Canada and is a renowned lawyer who will be promoted to head of her firm when she learns that she is ill. Three lives, three women, three continents. Three battles to fight. Although they don't know each other, Smita, Giulia and Sarah are linked.
Laetitia Colombani. Laetitia Colombani, born in Bordeaux, France, is a director, writer, and actress. Colombani's first two feature films after graduating from secondary school, À la Folie... pas du tout [2002] and Mes Stars and Me [2008], were very well-received. Colombani also works in the theatre (Le Jour du Kiwi [2021]) and onscreen (Fête de Famille [2019]).
Colombani's first novel, La Tresse [2017], tells the story of three women in three countries with three stories and gained worldwide fame. She won over twenty prizes for the novel, including the 2017 Literary Trophy for Women in the Economy. The book was translated into 40 languages, a stage production, and a film directed by Colombani.
