Alessandro Genovesi

Director Alessandro Genovesi was born in Milan in 1973 and began his professional career on stage as an actor and then playwright and director. In 2007 he had his break in theatre with the play Happy Family which he both wrote and directed. The play won several awards and in 2010 was adapted to film and directed by Gabriele Salvatores. Genovesi made his directorial film debut in 2011 with the film The Worst Week of My Life.
