PLOT : Filipe Leite grew up in Toronto, went to Ryerson University, and is an aspiring journalist. However, he has always had a strong urge to return to his family and that desire only grew stronger as he grew older. Leite’s family lives in São Paolo, Brazil so he decides to leave Canada and set out on a mission to return home. Moving to Calgary, Leite begins his trek travelling over 25,000 kilometers solely on horseback. In an aspiring documentary, audiences are taken on a journey with Leite as he faces environmental, physical, and mental challenges as he crosses borders, rubbing shoulders with transport trucks and unruly border patrol. Through some of his toughest days, the kindness of strangers and the determination of his spirit make the difference between giving up and getting back on the horse.
