PLOT : Halim, a middle-aged tailor, has been married to his wife Mina for a long time. The couple runs a traditional caftan store in the old town of Salé, Morocco. Throughout their relationship, they have always lived with Halim’s secret – his homosexuality – about which he has learned to keep quiet. Amidst the tranquility of their shop, Mina falls ill, and a new young apprentice arrives. These changes drastically disrupt the equilibrium of their lives, forcing Halim to confront his hidden identity in the face of his wife's declining health. United in their love, each will help the other face his fears amidst uncertainty, forging a deeper connection and resilience in the process.
Maryam Touzani. Maryam Touzani, a Moroccan actress and director, grew up in her hometown before moving to London to study journalism. Driven by her passion for writing, she returned to Morocco after her studies to work as a journalist specializing in Maghreb cinema. Soon, she felt a strong desire to express herself through filmmaking. In 2012, she made her directorial debut with the short film “The Last Night." She continued to create short films before transitioning to feature films. Her films have been celebrated at numerous international film festivals, including her first feature film, "Adam" (2019), the 2022 romance “The Blue Caftan,” and her latest film, “Everybody Loves Touda” (2024).
