PLOT : In 1942 Naples, Donna Amalia and Gennaro Jovine reside with their children, Amedeo, Maria Rosaria, and little Rituccia. Struggling to make ends meet, Amalia partners with Enrico Settebellizze, a dubious figure in the black market. As years pass, Amalia resents Gennaro's perceived lack of contribution to the family's welfare. Amidst mounting tensions, Brigadier Ciappa's inspection forces Gennaro to fake his death to shield Amalia from imprisonment. Yet, he's captured by German soldiers, disappearing without a trace. Returning months later, he finds a transformed family: Amalia tangled with Settebellizze, Maria Rosaria pregnant and abandoned, and Amedeo involved in theft. Rituccia's illness becomes a chance for reconciliation amidst post-war chaos, offering a glimmer of hope for their fractured family and a healing dawn for Italy.
Luca Miniero. 
Luca Miniero, born in Naples, Italy, is a director and screenwriter. Miniero moved to Milan, where he began his career directing commercial shorts. He subsequently codirected and cowrote the short film “La Scoperta di Walter” with Paolo Genovese in 1998. They made their debut with the critically acclaimed comedy movie “A Neopolitan Spell” in 2002. His solo-directing debut, by contrast, was marked by the box office hit “Benvenuti al Sud” in 2010. Miniero’s filmography includes a plenitude of works, with “Benvenuti al Nord,” “A Boss in the Living Room,” and “La Scuola più Bella del Mondo” being his best-known movies. Miniero’s work has been recognized with 10 wins and 20 nominations. His latest work, the movie “Napoli Millionaria” (2023), explores the struggle of a family amidst financial turmoil
