PLOT : Caterino is a worker at the Ilva factory in Taranto, Italy. He reluctantly becomes a spy for the company executives to help sift out workers for dismissal. As the pressure mounts, Caterino must keep track of his colleagues in search of a reason to report them. Trapped in an inescapable moral dilemma, Caterino decides to be reassigned to the so-called Palazzino LAF, where employees sit out their jobs as punishment. It’s there that Caterino discovers that not everything is as it appears: what looks like paradise might actually be a sinister strategy to psychologically torment troublesome workers. As Caterino explores this corporate conspiracy, will he emerge victorious or succumb to the pressure of the system?
Michele Riondino. is an Italian actor and director. Born on March 14, 1979, in Taranto, Puglia, Italy, Rondino is known for his roles in movies such as “The Past Is a Foreign Land” (2008) and “Dormant Beauty” (2012). He was awarded Best Actor at the Rome Film Festival for his role in “The Past Is a Foreign Land.” In 2010, Riondino received the Guglielmo Biraghi Award at the 67th Venice International Film Festival. His latest movie, “Palazzina LAF,” in which he serves as director and actor alike, follows the story of Caterino, a worker at the Ilva Factory in Taranto, who tracks his colleagues’ every move for the company executives as a spy.
