PLOT : Are blood ties the only way to define a family? An identical surname? Or to live under the same roof? Hum Do Hamare Do challenge the very notion of a functioning household. It calls into question the true values of what unites and defines a family. In this comedy film, protagonist Dhruv Shikhar is an orphan who has overcome all odds but is in desperate need of a family; Anya Mehra, the woman he is in love with, wants to marry a man who has a “sweet family” and a dog. In his quest for a couple of fake parents he finds Purshottam Mishra and Dipti Kashyap, who have a history of their own, and adopts them as his real guardians. Despite this solution, the question remains: will Dhruv be able to persuade Anya to marry him, with the whole façade he has put on?
