Alireza Golafshan. , born in 1986 in Tehran, Iran, immigrated to Germany in 1998. Initially studying philosophy and art history in Munich, he later pursued filmmaking at the Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film (HFF). His directorial debut, "Die Goldfische" (2019), earned the Young Directors Award at the Bavarian Film Awards 2020.
