PLOT : The story of Luca and Alba is one of true love, persistence, and acceptance. This heartwarming story tells the tale of Luca, a single, Catholic, and homosexual man who adopted Alba, a child with Down syndrome who was left in the hospital. Before Luca, thirty heterosexual families rejected her. Only then did the court decide to entrust Alba to Luca through the legal foster care registration for singles, inaugurated in Italy. Luca is the first case in Italy of a single, homosexual person succeeding in adopting a daughter. However, Luca did not adopt Alba for this reason. His reasoning was much more simple - Luca just wanted a family.
Fabio Mollo. 
Fabio Mollo is a director, writer, and producer whose career began by directing various short films and winning a Nastro d’Argento special mention at the Italian National Syndicate of Film Journalists for his 2007 short, “Giganti.” In 2013, Mollo directed his feature debut, “Il Sud è Niente,” which was featured at the Toronto International Film Festival, the Rome Film Festival, and the Berlin International Film Festival. Throughout the years, Mollo directed numerous critically acclaimed films, including “Il Padre d’Italia" (2017) and “Anni da Cane” (2021). Most recently, Mollo directed the drama “Nata per Te,” the touching story about a single homosexual man adopting a child with Down syndrome.
