PLOT : Fatima is 16 years old girl born in Calabria by Muslim parents. She, like many girls her age, lives through a period filled with conflicts and emotions. However, she feels as there is something different about her which often leads her to be alone, left out from her peers, and feeling constantly out of place. Until one day the PE teacher, Michele Scimone, proposes to all his students the opportunity of enrolling in the Sant'Antonio’s marathon.
This unexpected opportunity sparks the interest of Fatima that is now determined to race. Michele, closed-off former Calabrian marathon runner, is struck by the determination and vitality of a teenager. Despite the initial misunderstanding and prejudices, the race will be the beginning of a relationship that will change their lives.
Mario Vitale. is an Italian director, screenwriter, and producer, who has worked on several award-winning short films; among them, he directed, Il tuffo(2014), Ilmiracolo(2015), and Al giorno d'oggi il lavoro te lo devi inventare(2016). In 2021, he debuted in the theatres' director and screenwriter of L’afide e la formica.
